Segal Institute for Appellate Advocacy LLC Hosts: "What Price Justice?" Judicial Independence Forum Held at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the event involved a mock argument about judicial independence in the context of campaign contributions to judicial candidates. The Honorable Phyllis W. Beck, The Honorable Henry E. Frye, The Honorable Miriam Shearing, The Honorable Kenneth W. Starr, and the Honorable William H. Webster served as the judges hearing the arguments of acting attorneys Neal R. Sonnett and George T. Patton, Jr. The argument was followed by a panel discussion, co-moderated by Seth S. Andersen of the American Judicature Society and Lynn A. Marks of Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts. more
